Who We Are
We believe that every kind of dance and every kind of dancer matter. The casting of choreographers and dancers for each of our shows is comprised of current dancers, retired dancers, people with other full time careers who still want to dance and create, young dancers, older dancers, and everything in between.
The Dance Project is a collaborative non-profit that works to inspire and empower artists through dance by providing the necessary resources to local dancers and choreographers. Artists who work with our group are given the opportunity to create and perform various dance pieces throughout several venues in Austin, Texas.
What We Do
We thrive on creating concerts, events, and galas of many kinds. We love to show the diversity of what dance has to offer and are constantly showcasing new choreographers, styles, and dancers throughout our many showcases throughout the year. Annually, we hold our Jubilee gala, and display the best of the drag queen scene here in Austin and feature our dancers as well.
